SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the man accused of shooting a co-worker at the Imerys plant in Sylacauga on March 8.

Chief Deputy Josh Tubbs told SylacaugaNews.com a warrant was issued on Wednesday for the arrest of 33-year-old Terrance Latrell Twyman who later turned himself in to authorities.

Twyman is accused of shooting a co-worker after a dispute at the quarry. “Twyman and another employee had a verbal altercation. Twyman retrieved a firearm from his vehicle, and shot the victim in the abdomen.” said Tubbs.

Twyman fled the scene while the victim was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center by a co-worker.

Twyman is charged with Assault 1st Degree with a $30,000 bond.
