SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Students from all over Talladega County will put their spelling mettle to the test tomorrow morning, Feb. 3, at the B.B Comer Memorial Library.
The spelling bee, which is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday, will have one representative from every elementary and middle school in the county.
Contestants will compete for first place and the chance to go to the Alabama Spelling Bee held on UAB’s campus on March 18.
The winner of the Alabama Spelling Bee will receive an all-expenses paid opportunity to showcase their spelling skills to the entire county in Washington, D.C. at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May.
