Talladega County Sheriff’s Office investigating shots fired at child’s birthday party

ALPINE, Ala. – Last Saturday, July 2, the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) was alerted to an incident involving a discharged firearm at a kid’s birthday party.

The celebration was interrupted around 6:00 p.m. when a person described as a black male arrived at the party and fired multiple shots.

No injuries were reported. However, one vehicle was hit numerous times.

The incident occurred at the 1100 block of Jones Rd. in Alpine.

One person of interest has been identified, but the TCSO is still investigating. If you have any information, you can contact the TCSO’s Investigations Division at (256) 761-2141.
