TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – The Talladega County School (TCS) system has announced one major change to its dress code policy that will take effect at the beginning of the 2022-23 school year.
Starting with the first class day on Aug. 9, all TCS students will be allowed to wear jeans. This is the only change of significance for the upcoming year.
Included below is the updated policy in regards to what types of pants are permitted. All other dress code rules will remain the same.
PANTS/SKIRTS:
– Khaki (no green khaki), gray, dark navy, or black pants/skirts only
– No writing or graphics other than small and unobtrusive pants label
– Pants must fit properly
– “Slacking” is not tolerated
– Pants that are clinging, tight-fitting, or excessively large are not permitted
– No overalls or bell bottoms, but a slight flare is acceptable
– Denim material is permitted with no holes
