TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – The Talladega County Board of Education (TCBOE) has decided that schools will go to virtual learning this Thursday and Friday.
The decision was made due to a staff shortage caused by the COVID Omicron variant spreading through the county school system.
Classes will be taught online with students staying at home on Thursday, Jan. 13 and Friday, Jan. 14.
Currently, the plan is for students to return to campuses on Tuesday, Jan. 18 after taking off for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 17.
