SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Talladega County.
Talladega County has reported a total of 748 positive coronavirus cases, with nine deaths.
544 COVID tests have been completed at CVMC
3 patients are currently hospitalized with a confirmed diagnosis.
2 patients are currently hospitalized under investigation.
“We urge everyone to wash your hands, wear masks in public, keep your hands away from your face and continue to practice six-feet social distancing,” said CVMC community outreach coordinator Lindsay Johns.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, Jefferson County has the most cases in the state with 10,420 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
The state of Alabama alone has recorded 79,129 positive cases with 1,446 deaths and is still one of 18 states on the White House coronavirus “red zone” list.
