TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – The Talladega County Commission will meet tonight, March 12 at 6:00 p.m. A work session will precede the meeting at 5:00 p.m.
The following items are set to be discussed:
- Approve minutes of Feb. 26, 2018.
- Approve moving the location of the March 26, 2018 Commission meeting to Sylacauga City Hall.
- Open jail bids
- Approve Chairman to sign and commission approve proposal for Maintenance service by Vertic Services, Inc. for tower sites.
- Approve independent contractor agreement with Bridge Inspection Services, LLC.
- Approve agreement with ALDOT for roadway improvements near Winterboro High School.
- Tabled from the Feb. 26, 2018 meeting to approve reimbursement agreement with the City of Sylacauga and Talladega County for the resurfacing of a county road.
- Open and award Liquid Asphalt Bids for road department.
- Tabled from the Feb. 26, 2018 meeting to approve Second Amendment to Verizon Tower Lease Agreement.
- Discuss approval of request from Alabama Specialty Products, Inc. for the abatement of county property tax excluding schools
- Consider approval of recommendation of Talladega County EDA for the expenditure of Two Cent Rural Water Funds for a project requested by the City of Lincoln in the amount of $494,639.
- Consider approval of recommendation of Talladega County EDA for the expenditure of Two Cent Rural Water Funds for a project requested by the Munford Water Authority in the amount of $444,106.
- Consider approval of recommendation of Talladega County EDA for the expenditure of Two Cent Rural Water Funds for a project requested by the Sycamore Water Authority in the amount of $62,600 and the Sylacauga Water Authority in the amount of $14,000.
