As voter turnout was low in the county, only 29 percent of registered voters exercised their right to vote, Talladega Co. and state wide voters decided a run-off will be needed on March 31.
Tommy Tuberville was not in any trouble in the county, dominating Jeff Sessions in the GOP Senate primary race. The former Auburn University football coach received 46% of votes in the county for a total of 5,397. Sessions was a distance second at 26.26% and 3,054 votes.
