SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The first confirmed case of COVID-19 was announced five days ago for Talladega County, but as the state of Alabama number continues to rise Talladega Co. is holding, for now.
Data from the Alabama Department of Public Health states there are now over 200 cases confirmed in the state, but only one confirmed in Talladega Co.
Surrounding counties that touch Talladega Co. have a combined 30 cases with Shelby Co. touting a heavy majority with 24 of those cases.
