SYLACAUGA, Ala. – After a standout senior season, Sylacauga High School’s (SHS) Michri Taylor was selected to the Alabama Sports Writers’ Association (ASWA) all-state boys’ basketball squad.

Taylor, a versatile 6’4″ guard for the Aggies, was recently named first-team all-Talladega County and can now add the statewide distinction to the accomplishments he has garnered.

His performances also earned him a scholarship offer from Bevill State Community College located in Jasper. Taylor committed to the Bears in late February.

Taylor was picked to the 5A all-state honorable mentions team along with Jayden Cooper (Jr.) of Pike Road, Harrison Hilyer (Sr.) of Jemison, and Jalen Jones (Jr.) of Ramsay.
