SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Lou Belle’s Clothing and Accessories has closed its doors in downtown Sylacauga, but only for a few weeks.
Owner of the boutique Linda Chandler told SylacaugaNews.com she has planned on remodeling the store for the last two months after spending seven years in the facility.
The plan is to make the store look more vintage. The new Lou Belle’s will feature new paint schemes and new grid walls that Chandler hopes will take her store “two or three steps back in time.”
The building will not be the only facet of Lou Belle’s that will be upgraded. Chandler said customers can expect new apparel upon reopening.
“We’ll have a completely brand new line of clothing,” said Chandler. “We’re getting rid of the winter merchandise, and we’ll bring in the spring and summer clothes.”
For now the plan is to close until noon on Feb. 7. Chandler plans to host a reopening celebration on the seventh. Everyone in the community is invited to join the Lou Belle’s staff as they enjoy refreshments, and reveal the newly renovated boutique.
Chandler believes every business on Broadway will benefit from the project. She said the revitalization of her boutique will help keep downtown the center of attention in the city, and keep citizens from leaving and taking their business to other areas.
