SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga softball’s Catherine Hickey will continue her playing career after high school.
Today the senior signed to play college ball at Bevil State Community College in Jasper.
Hickey is in the midst of a very impressive senior campaign, especially at the plate. Hickey is batting just below .500 with a team leading .494 average. Hickey has scored 42 runs this season, driven in 32, and has hit five homeruns.
In the field, Hickey is a reliable shortstop that leads the team and covers a lot of ground.
Hickey will try to lead the Aggies to its second area championship in program history on Wednesday in Clay County.
