SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Head injuries have sidelined key play makers for the 5-1 Aggies over the last few weeks, but two stars are set to suit up Friday night.
Senior safety Demarco Campbell has missed the past two games against Mortimer Jordan and Childersburg and senior tailback Lew Dale missed last week’s game against the rival Tigers.
Campbell went down on the last play on the road at Moody in a scary scene that sent Campbell to the hospital in an ambulance. Dale’s head injury came against Mortimer Jordan on the Aggies’ last drive of the game.
Sylacauga Head Coach Matt Griffith told the Aggie Sports Network on Thursday [watch the full interview by clicking here] both players are ready to go and should be on the field versus St. Clair County. “Demarco [Campbell] is back. He has practiced all week and hes fine. He’ll be at free safety,” the coach explained. “Lew Dale is back. You’ll see him at A-back and a little safety.”
