Sylacauga’s Caitlyn McTier wins Miss City of New York, will compete in state competition for second year running

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Sylacauga native Caitlyn McTier continues to make waves in the competitive world of pageantry after clinching the title of Miss City of New York in January.

McTier will now sets her sights once again on the Miss New York crown after securing a top five placement.

McTier’s path to success traces back locally, where she was crowned Miss Sylacauga in 2017. Her poise onstage earned her fourth runner-up at Miss Alabama 2021, following her victory as Miss Hoover 2020.

With each competition, McTier’s star has risen, showcasing her talent and commitment to her craft.

Beyond the pageant circuit, McTier leads a dynamic life, balancing her career in sports marketing with her passion for acting and producing. Co-hosting the podcast “Uptown Girls,” McTier shares her personal adventures alongside co-host and fellow pageant competitor Abby Quammen, offering listeners a glimpse into the vibrant culture of New York City.
