SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Lack of festivities for St. Patrick’s Day in Sylacauga will be a thing of the past in 2018 as one community based group has decided to ramp up the festivities the holiday.
The Sylacauga Young Professionals will host a “Pub Crawl” on Saturday, March 17 beginning at Odie’s Deli at 3:00 p.m . President of SYP Rocky Lucas told SylacaugaNews.com this is a social event to bring people of the community together.
For the “Pub Crawl,” those participating will spend one hour at five different downtown establishments before finishing up the night at Harvey’s on Noble starting at 7:00.
Lucas said the businesses participating in the event will be running drink specials for the day. Those businesses include Odie’s Deli, L’Acosta, Pizza and Pint, Fermenter’s Market and Harvey’s on Noble. At Harvey’s, SYP is sponsoring musician Jonathan Bloom as entertainment.
To participate you do not have to be a member of SYP, and Lucas said the event will hopefully attract more young adults to the organization.
If you want to join SYP, like the organization’s Facebook page, or contact Lucas at 205-937-2341.
