SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Young Professionals are having their 2nd Annual Book Drive starting April 1, 2018 with a Kickoff Party on April 6.
“The SYP’s had a successful year with the Book Drive last year,” said Rocky Lucas. “We saw a need. We have tasked ourselves with helping out the organizations in town who help others, so this just goes along with that. We want to create a sense of pride in Sylacauga by giving people something to do.”
The Kickoff Party for the Book Drive will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Fermenters Market at the Rex. Tommy Brown will provide entertainment for the night, and books will be accepted at the Kickoff Party.
All collected books will be donated to the B.B. Comer Memorial Library. All genres of books will be accepted for the Book Drive. Books can be dropped off the entire month of April at the library.
