SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga is about to welcome thousands of visitors, many camping in Noble Park, as the city will host Pinhoti Fest this weekend, Sept. 27-29.
The big annual event attracted more than three thousand last year, with even more expected this year. It officially kicks off at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 29 at 2:30 p.m.
Organized by the Pinhoti Center, this year’s line-up feature more informative speakers, more musicians playing in Noble Park, and even more gear vendors showing off the goods and services they offer to those who travel the 100-mile Pinhoti Trail between Heflin and Flagg Mountain near Weogufka, extending 250 miles farther into north Georgia, in addition to food trucks and other local vendors to welcome thousands of guests.
The Pinhoti Center hosted the recent September Sylacauga Chamber Connections.
“It’s great to show off our city and have people come in and see what Sylacauga is about and show off the trail, and we’re super excited to have people come out!” remarked Kimm Wright, Pinhoti Center co-founder.
