SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The epic showdown on the court between two local rivals, Sylacauga and Talladega, was postponed last week due to the snowfall in the area.
According to the Sylacauga High School Basketball social media page ran by Sylacauga Varsity Boys Head Coach William Copeland, Sylacauga Hoops, the game has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Dec. 20.
The undefeated freshman boys team will tip-off play for the might beginning at 3:00. Following the freshman boys will be the junior varsity, followed then by the varsity girls. The 8-1 varsity boys, led by seniors Malik Crawford and Keaton Wilson, will tip-off following the varsity girls at 7:30.
The game will be featured as the Shop-N-Fill Sylacauga High School Basketball Game of the week presented by Bowden Oil Company on YEA!106.5 and WYEA 1290.. Play-by-play announcer Jeremy Law and color commentator Max Jackson will be on the call in the Sylacauga High Gymnasium. Coverage starts 10 minutes before tip-off with the Reams Custom Homes Pregame Show.
