Sylacauga residents experiencing difficulties during trash transition

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The City of Sylacauga has contracted with GFL Environmental for residential garbage services effective April 1, 2021.

All residents in the City of Sylacauga should have a new GFL Environmental trash receptacle delivered by close of business on March 31.

Residents who have not yet received their trash receptacle should contact the City Clerk’s office. A second receptacle may be requested for an additional $5.00 fee by contacting the Clerk’s office at 256-401-2401. Residents should place all green Republic receptacles on the curbside for pickup.

If you reside in Talladega County and near the City of Sylacauga, and your trash receptacle has been removed in error, you should contact Republic directly at 256-235-8174.
