SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Police Department has issued a traffic alert to notify the public of a temporary speed limit reduction on W Park St. from 35 miles per hour to 15 miles per hour.
This reduction is in effect through the construction zone for the safety of drivers, workers, and nearby residents. Current road conditions make it unsafe to travel at higher speeds, and if you’re going faster than 15 miles per hour right now, there’s a chance something might fall off your vehicle.
Officers will be monitoring the area, and they are asking everyone to slow down, use caution, and be mindful of ongoing construction.
