SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga Parks and Recreation is creating a weekend of community sports competition – called “Super Sports Weekend” – that’s also a fundraising initiative for the city’s civic clubs. It’s scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 16-17.

There are a couple of ways to get involved, both as a competitor and as a business or industry sponsor.

There’ll be cornhole, pickleball, disc golf, skeet shooting, a 5K Run, and beach volleyball competitions. Register for competitions online at sylacauga.recdesk.com.

The Department is also on the lookout for sponsors, from Silver Level at $100, Bronze Level at $250, and Gold Level at $500. Contact the J. Craig Smith Community Center for more sponsorship details.

The civic organizations that will be the beneficiaries are the Civitan Club, the Lions Club, the Kiwanis Club, and the Rotary Club.
