SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Children in Sylacauga will soon have a chance to hunt Easter eggs under the night sky as Sylacauga Parks and Recreation prepares to host its annual Flashlight Egg Hunt.
The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13 at Noble Park and is designed for children ages seven through ten. Participants will search the park using flashlights to find prize-filled eggs hidden throughout the grounds.
Organizers say the nighttime format adds an extra layer of excitement compared to traditional daytime hunts.
New this year, the event will feature a Glow Party on the Playground immediately after the hunt. The celebration will include glowing lights, music, and space for children to show off their finds and spend time with friends.
Families are encouraged to bring flashlights and Easter baskets for the event. Pelican’s SnoBalls will also be on-site selling treats during the evening.
The hunt is hosted by Sylacauga Parks and Recreation and sponsored by Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union. Officials said additional police presence will help ensure a safe environment for families attending the event.
