SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The athletic program for the Sylacauga Parks and Recreation Department will hold basketball tryouts at the J. Craig Smith Community Center for all youth rec league levels next Tuesday, Nov. 29.
The tryouts are meant for boys and girls ages 4 through 14.
To be eligible for tryouts, participants must register by Friday, Nov. 25. The registration fee is $75. Payment method options include cash, check, or credit card.
The registration fee covers the cost of a jersey and shorts, so the Parks and Rec is requesting all participants provide their sizes when registering.
The 14-u age group will not try out, but the other groups’ times are as follows:
6u – 5:00-5:30 p.m.
8u – 6:00-6:30 p.m.
10u – 7:00-7:30 p.m.
12u – 8:00-8:30 p.m.
Teams will be selected the night of tryouts. It is not considered necessary to attend tryouts but it is highly encouraged.
