Sylacauga man killed in crash after motorcycle collides with cow

TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – A Sylacauga man is dead after a motorcycle crash Monday night.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Robert Atchley, 36, was fatally injured when the 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating struck a cow that was standing in the roadway on Russell Chappell Rd, seven miles southwest of Sylacauga. Atchley was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

Nothing further information is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
