Sylacauga man behind bars charged with transmitting obscene material to a child

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Paul Matthew Hutton Tuesday evening for allegedly transmitting obscene material to a child.

According to Hutton’s LinkedIn profile, it states he works in maintenance at Sylacauga City Schools. SylacaugaNews.com reached out to Sylacauga City Schools which confirmed Hutton’s employment. Superintendent Dr. Jon Segars told SylacaugaNews.com he is aware of the arrest and that Hutton is on administrative leave pending investigation.

If convicted, Hutton could face between two to twenty years in prison. Hutton is being held in the Talladega County Jail with no bond.
