SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga High School has been ranked as one of the top 60 high schools in the state of Alabama.
Out of nearly 400 schools, SHS is ranked number 58 on the list of Alabama’s best high schools created by U.S. News & World Report, and first of all Talladega metro area schools.
The website calculates the rankings based off of college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, undeserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rate.

The number one ranked high school in Alabama is Loveless Academic Magnet Program High School in Montgomery. New Century Tech Demo High School, Mountain Brook High School, Homewood High School, and Booker T, Washington Magnet High School round out the top five.
