SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga High School Marching Aggie Band has been selected by the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association to perform in the 2025 Fiesta Flambeau Parade, scheduled for Saturday, May 3 in San Antonio, Texas.
The Aggie Band recently earned Superior ratings at competitions during the 2024 marching season and regularly participates in local parades.
The band is led by Drum Major Alona Pearson, who also serves as Drum Captain, alongside Captains Mylee Bardwell and Kaiden Conkling. Emma Robertson leads the Colorguard, with instruction provided by Majorette Instructor Wrenn Griffith, Colorguard Instructor Whitney Wheeler, Assistant Director Emily Petersen, and Director Samuel Childs.
The Fiesta Flambeau Parade, hailed as America’s largest illuminated night parade, lights up San Antonio’s historic downtown and draws over 800,000 spectators along its just over three mile route.
The event is also broadcast and livestreamed to over 1.5 million viewers worldwide. Named “Best in the World” by the International Festivals and Events Association, the parade is a cornerstone of the 11-day Fiesta San Antonio celebration.
