Sylacauga High School honors 57 exceptional students with NHS induction ceremony

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – In a grand ceremony held Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Sylacauga High School auditorium, 57 outstanding students were formally inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS).

Marked by the symbolic lighting of candles by NHS officers, the ceremony celebrated the attributes of membership: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

This year’s distinguished NHS officers leading the way are Allison Terrell (President), Haven Owen (Vice President), Charleigh Grice (Secretary), Baylee Harwell (Treasurer), and Natalie Robinson (Reporter).

The nine new senior inductees to the National Honor Society are:
