SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga Health & Rehab has appointed longtime local physician Dr. Mohamed Ammar Aldaher as its new medical director, strengthening clinical oversight at the skilled nursing facility serving Talladega County.

Dr. Aldaher assumed the role in February 2026, bringing decades of experience in internal medicine and primary care, along with a reputation for compassionate, community-centered treatment. Facility leaders said his appointment supports efforts to enhance coordinated care for residents and their families.

Dr. Aldaher has practiced medicine in the Sylacauga area for many years and maintains hospital affiliations with Coosa Valley Medical Center. Through his work at Craddock Health Center, he has treated multiple generations of patients across Talladega County and nearby communities.

Sylacauga Health & Rehab is a 149-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that provides care for seniors recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Skilled nursing facilities play a key role in the healthcare system, particularly as hospitals rely more heavily on post-acute providers to improve recovery outcomes and reduce readmissions.

In his new role, Dr. Aldaher will work closely with nursing leadership, therapy teams, and administrators to oversee clinical quality initiatives and strengthen collaboration with local physicians and hospital partners.

“Dr. Aldaher has served the Sylacauga community for decades and is a physician many families and providers already know and trust,” said Ashleigh Finn, Director of Admissions and Marketing for the facility. “Having a physician of his experience guiding clinical oversight strengthens the care we provide.”

Sylacauga Health & Rehab is part of Noland Health Services, which operates senior care programs across Alabama, including assisted living and rehabilitation services in the Sylacauga area.
