SYLACAUGA, Ala. – SylacaugaNews.com has confirmed with corporate sources that the Sylacauga Goody’s will be closing its doors permanently. The announcement came late last week.
More than 100 locations nationwide will be closing down including the stores in Talladega and Alexander City.
In January, it was announced all Goody’s locations remaining open will be transformed into Gordmans stores. The original plan was for the store to be converted to a Gordmans.
The location in Sylacauga started its “Going Out Of Business Sale.”
All the locations that are scheduled to close down will be closed down permanently by the middle of June, or earlier depending on the location.
Sylacauganews.com has reached out to both the local store and corporate for comment. Neither entity has provided an official statement to SylacaugaNews.com.
