Sylacauga Girls Coach Destiny Frazier brings back Saturday Morning Basketball

SHARE NOW

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Lady Aggies varsity coach Destiny Frazier is brining back a tradition in Sylacauga – Saturday Morning Basketball.

Coach Gerald Douglass and the late Coach Justin Martin established the tradition as an opportunity to not only help athletes with skills to grow the school’s basketball program, but help young people excel in walks of life.

“I am excited to announce that Saturday Morning Basketball is back!,” said Frazier. “I am very thankful to have the opportunity to continue the past tradition established by Coach Gerald Douglass and the late Coach Justin Martin, which benefited the youth and created a basketball program that continues to help student-athletes become successful in their future endeavors.”

The program is for female players that are interested in basketball in hopes to help them with fundamentals, and help them establish a love for the game.

It is also for the bigger picture of life. “The purpose of the Saturday Morning Basketball program is to educate and empower the female youth with confidence to be successful tomorrow,” Frazier said. “Together, our players and coaches will create a safe and disciplined environment so every child can reach their full potential, develop and increase their skills in the game of basketball.”

The free program starts on Jan. 30 at 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at SHS. Participants will have to bring the consent form below:
