SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The annual Magic of Marble Festival will soon kick off in Sylacauga, with the first stage – the Marble Festival Scavenger Hunt 2026 – already underway.

Get your forms at the B.B. Comer Memorial Library or the Comer Museum and Arts Center, and start hunting.

Find as many as you can, and if you miss a few, that is ok. Turn your forms in anyway, and have fun.

A children’s version is also taking place inside the museum.

The festival itself is scheduled to start Tuesday, April 7 with sculptors gathering under the tents in Central Park. There are all sorts of other related activities through Saturday, April 18. The B.B. Comer Library always has past Marble Festival works on display, along with pieces of marble art on sale.

The library will host another interesting addition, The Saturday Adult Series: “Mind and Motion” Fitness Guide for Adults. Led by Charles and Ada Cummings, this session uses sculpting as a mindful practice to help you reduce stress, enhance focus, and promote emotional well-being. Working with your hands is a powerful way to find balance and a calmer, more centered you.

That is scheduled for Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the B.B. Comer Memorial Library, which is always a great stop for information on all of the events and activities associated with the Magic of Marble Festival, including registration for marble quarry tours.

The annual Magic of Marble Festival is held in Sylacauga with a mission to recreate the magic of marble through its artistic, commercial, and industrial applications. Visit Central Park to watch the masters of marble at work, go behind the scenes at Imerys and Omya to see where the marble begins, and join a guided walk through the history of the Sylacauga Cemetery on April 11-12. No registration required.
