SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Friday after school starts is traditionally the final session of the Sylacauga Farmers Market season, but this year, the decision was made to extend the market through the rest of August.
A typical dry spell in August often slows the amount of produce from market farmers, but that hasn’t been the case in 2025, according to market manager Will Brooks.
“Our vendors were unanimous in wanting to keep going, at least through the end of August,” said Brooks. “Momentum has been strong, and nobody’s ready to stop.”
The weekly market will continue for the next three Friday mornings from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., through Aug. 29.
