SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Varsity Boys basketball team dominated Shelby County for a third time this season in the opening round of the 5A Area 8 tournament by a score of 84-47.
With the win, the Aggies have advanced to the area championship game to be played on Thursday night at 7:00.
The Aggies opponent in the area title game will be Briarwood Christian, a team that Sylacauga has already knocked doff twice this season. Briarwood took down Moody High School in its first game of the tournament 79-55.
Thursday night’s championship game will be featured as the Shop-N-Fill Sylacauga High School Basketball Game of the Week presented by Bowden Oil Company on YEA!106.5 and WYEA1290.
