SYLACAUGA, Ala. – From now until Friday, April 21, the Sylacauga Community Playhouse (SCP) is accepting applications for its annual scholarship.
The 2023 SCP Scholarship is open to any soon-to-graduate high school seniors or current college students in or around Talladega County that are pursuing theatre arts.
Theatre arts encompasses plenty of different skills including acting, directing, stage management, dance, vocal performance, lighting/sound design, and more.
Scholarships may be given to multiple applicants, and the amount given as well as how much money is offered in any scholarships depends on the number of applicants, prior involvement in the SCP, and financial circumstances.
Past recipients of the SCP Scholarship have received anywhere from $250 to $1,000.
