SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga City Schools will operate on a normal schedule Tuesday, Jan. 27, according to a district weather update.

Colder-than-usual temperatures are expected, and the school system is encouraging students and families to take precautions while waiting for school buses.

Parents are advised to dress children warmly in layers and, when possible, have them wear hats, gloves, and scarves. Families are also encouraged to arrive at bus stops as close to pickup time as possible to limit exposure to the cold.

No further schedule changes or delays have been announced.
