SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga City Schools (SCS) has scheduled an eLearning Day for Monday, Feb. 17, to make up for a missed school day earlier this year.
The school system was originally set to be out of school on Feb. 17 as it is Presidents’ Day, but a weather-related closure on Tuesday, Jan. 21 must now be accounted for.
While some areas of Alabama that received snow had their missed day pardoned, Sylacauga falls in the area of the state that did not. As a result, the school system opted to hold an eLearning Day.
Students will not report to campus but are required to complete assignments provided by their teachers.
