SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The search is on for a new superintendent for the Sylacauga City Schools system.

In January, Sylacauga Superintendent Dr. Jon Segars announced his intentions to retire from Alabama public education on June 30, 2021.

As part of the search for a new superintendent, the Sylacauga City School system wants to hear from you. The school system is asking that people from the community complete a short online survey.

The survey will be open until Feb. 26 and all input will be anonymous. Additionally, individuals are encouraged to attend one of the stakeholder meetings to be held on Feb. 25.

Let your voice be heard in this important decision for Sylacauga City Schools.
