SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Each year, the National Education Association, also known as NEA, celebrates National American Education Week. Since 1921, this special week has promoted positive aspects of education and the people involved.
Superintendent Dr. Todd Freeman and Sylacauga’s schools are teaming up with SylacaugaNews.com for this year’s week-long event. From Monday through Thursday of this week, SylacaugaNews.com will feature one of the four city schools, followed by an exclusive interview with Dr. Freeman on Friday.
Monday, Nov. 14 – Indian Valley Elementary School
Tuesday, Nov. 15 – Pinecrest Elementary School
Wednesday, Nov. 16 – Nichols-Lawson Middle School
Thursday, Nov. 17 – Sylacauga High School
Friday, Nov. 18 – Dr. Todd Freeman
Sylacauga’s city schools employ 317 people, and the total enrollment is 2,364 students.
