SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga City Schools (SCS), in collaboration with the Talladega County Board of Education and the Sylacauga Police Department, responded to social media threats early this morning, Sept. 20.
Officials confirmed the suspect has been identified, and law enforcement will maintain an active presence across all campuses.
Classes will proceed as scheduled.
“Safety remains a top priority for [our schools],” an SCS spokesperson said. The district reassured that all necessary precautions are in place to bring about a safe environment for learning.
