SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council will meet tonight for the second time in March.
People are not encouraged to attend if they are not feeling well. The CDC and President of the United States have discouraged gatherings of 10-plus people right now.
City Councilman Ashton Fowler wrote, “Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. We ask all the time for more attendance, but in this case, unless you have something on the agenda to discuss, the less attendance the better.”
The city is taking measures to protect the public while meeting requirements of open public meetings. This photo shows how seating for tonight has been rearranged to create recommenced separation between attendees.
Videos of the work session and council meeting will be available tomorrow.
The council will hold a work session at 5:00 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m.
