SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council will hold a meeting on Wednesday night, March 18, following a work session scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
The meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was moved to Wednesday due to scheduling conflicts.
During Old Business, the council will consider entering into a managed IT services agreement with B-Tech, Inc.
Council members are also expected to consider entering into an agreement with Revize for website development for the City of Sylacauga. The agenda also includes a request to approve a 60-day extension to the nuisance abatement remediation period for Deason properties.
Under New Business, the council will consider entering into an agreement with AMIC to serve as the city’s municipal insurance provider for a three-year period.
Additional items listed under New Business include approving a resolution related to the Business License Tax Report, which is due by March 31.
Council members will also consider approving the use of temporary workers for the Sylacauga Animal Shelter.
Financial matters listed on the agenda include approval of Fiscal Year 2025 Accounts Payable invoices, Fiscal Year 2026 Accounts Payable invoices, and the February 2026 payrolls.
