SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council will hold a meeting on Tuesday night, Nov. 19, following a work session which will begin at 5:00 p.m.
These proposed agenda items will be addressed:
1. Public hearing to approve Resolution No. 149-2024, authorizing a Development Reimbursement Agreement for Cabash Investments, LLC pursuant to Section 94.01.
2. Declare various computer equipment and software from City inventory as surplus property and authorize disposal on GovDeals.com online auction or other appropriate means.
3. Appropriate funding for EARTH from the General Fund, totaling $1,000,000.
4. Transfer funding for the Municipal Pool Redevelopment from the General Fund to the Capital Improvements Fund, totaling $1,500,000.
5. Accept the Fiscal Year 2023 Audit Report conducted by Machen McChesney.
6. Apply for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant.
7. Authorize Mayor Jim Heigl to sign the necessary documents of an agreement/contract with IMVIZE to conduct the necessary builds, repairs, or adjustments to address the UKG issues with the Alabama tax laws and the public safety overtime periods.
8. Approve SAFE salary adjustments, effective Oct. 1, 2024.
9. Approve using Animal Shelter Donations (restricted funds) to spay and neuter animals, totaling $17,314.
10. Approve using Animal Shelter Donations (restricted funds) for veterinary services, totaling $1,327.
11. Approve pay increase for Wade Fuller from SDD-1, step 8 ($20.96) to SDD-1 step 9, ($21.38).
12. Amend the 2024 Holiday schedule.
13. Approve the 2025 Holiday and City Council Meeting schedule.
