SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council will meet Tuesday night at Sylacauga City Hall.
The council will hold a work session in the Faye Hosey Chambers at 5:00 with the meeting following shortly after.
- Resolution 81-2020 granting a two-year easement to Geological Survey of Alabama for the purpose of drilling and maintaining a ground water monitoring well on City property located on Twin Street/Georgia Avenue.
- Resolution 82-2020 authorizing three-year contract with iWorQ Systems for Permit Management, Code Enforcement, Plan Review Management, and Business License software in the amount of $52,600.00.
- Resolution 83-2020 changing grant classification rom ATRIP II to the Rebuild Alabama Act with a local match of up to $145,000.00 required at the recommendation of ALDOT and EEFS. (replaces actions authorized by Resolutions 63-2020 and 64-2020)
- Motion to authorize legal counsel to file, on behalf of the City, a petition for writ of prohibition and mandamus in the appropriate court regarding matters related to the pending grievance(s) before the Civil Service Board.
- Request from Police Chief Kelley Johnson to hire certified police officer Madison Whitehead with reimbursement to the City of Childersburg for salary and training costs in the amount of $17,062.50.
- Request for refund of overpayment of 2020 business license fees to Clements Dean Building Co., LLC in the amount of $203.85.
- Approve travel/expenses for Animal Shelter employee Shelby Morris to attend the next available Certified Euthanasia Technician Training Course in Birmingham. Registration fee is $300.00.
- Additional invoices for FY20 Accounts Payable received after year-end close on September 30 in the amount of $32,705.38.
- Balance of Accounts Payable for October in the amount of $433,376.54.
