Sylacauga City Council proposed agenda – May 19, 2020

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council will meet tomorrow night at Sylacauga City Hall.

The council’s meeting is scheduled for 6:00 with a work session planned for 5:00.

View the council’s proposed agenda below:

  • Ordinance 2228-20 authorizing participation in the Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday July 17-19, 2020.
  • Resolution 37-2020 adding additional Court dates (first, third, and fifth Tuesdays) until backlog of cases continued due to COVID-19 have been heard.
  • Authorization to accept 2015 TAP project as complete and authorize final payment, if ready.
  • Request for refund of escrow balance of cell tower project in the amount of $2,595.49 to Barinowski Investment Company (CMS has confirmed payment of all invoices on project.)
  • Approve travel/expenses for Police Chief Kelley Johnson to attend the AACOP Summer Conference in Orange Beach July 26-31, 2020.  Registration fee of $200. Additional expenses for lodging, meals, and fuel reimbursement.  Total estimated expenses for Johnson are $1,564.60.
  • Balance of Accounts Payable for April in the amount of $303,343.32.
  • April payroll in the amount of $406,550.40.
