SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council will hold its first scheduled meeting of the month of March on Tuesday.
The following items are on the agenda:
- Resolution 10-2019 supporting Industrial Development Board’s project for construction of new speculative building through a loan from Alabama Power.
- Request for refund due to overpayment of 2019 business license fee to Davext LLC, DBA Red Flag Pest Control in the amount of $25.
- Approve travel/expenses for City Clerk Patricia Carden to attend the Alabama City/County Management Association (ACCMA) Certificate Program: Public Budgeting and Financial Management course to be held in Prattville April 4-5, 2019. Registration fee is $195. Additional costs for a meal and mileage will be incurred. Total estimated expenses for Carden are $354.32.
- Approve travel/expenses for CC Administrative Assistant Kim Morris to attend the Alabama City/County Management Association (ACCMA) Certificate Program: Public Budgeting and Financial Management course to be held in Prattville April 4-5, 2019. Registration fee is $195. Additional costs for a meal will be incurred. Morris will be carpooling with Carden and Burns. Total estimated expenses for Morris are $220.
- Approve travel/expenses for Accountant Yourlanda Burns to attend the Alabama City/County Management Association (ACCMA) Certificate Program: Public Budgeting and Financial Management course to be held in Prattville April 4-5, 2019. Registration fee is $195. Additional costs for a meal will be incurred. Burns will be carpooling with Carden and Morris. Total estimated expenses for Burns are $220.
- Approve travel/expenses for PD Lt. Jason McNeill to attend the NE AL Law Enforcement Agency’s “Gangs in Alabama” training on April 8, 2019. Registration fee is $25. Additional expenses for a meal and use of a city vehicle will be incurred. Total estimated expenses for McNeill are $40.
- Accounts Payable invoices received to date for February in the amount of $74,516.63.
