SYLACAUGA, Ala. – On Saturday, residents of Sylacauga came together to help clean up the Marble City.
Litter on the streets and sidewalks is a major problem in Sylacauga, according to District 5 city council candidate John Wesson.
Nearly 55 residents spread out across the city, picking up litter on the side of the roads.
“It turned out to be something really nice,” said Wesson. “We got lots of bag filled up, and I really feel like we brought awareness to the problem.”
Wesson told SylacaugaNews.com that he hopes this will continue from time to time.
