SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The 41st annual Sylacauga Christmas Parade will take place this Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6:00 p.m.
According to Laura Strickland, Executive Director of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, there have been over 20 floats registered and about 75 entries.
“This is a great opportunity for the community to gather and kick off the Christmas season,” said Strickland.
This year’s Grand Marshall for the Parade will be recently retired journalist for the Daily Home, Denise Sinclair. “Sinclair has been a great partner and friend to the community over her 42 year tenure,” said Strickland.
According to Strickland, the parade will take the same route as usual. It will start at Sylacauga High School and ride down Broadway Ave. The parade will then take a right on W. Fort Williams St. and make the next right on N. Norton Ave. The parade will conclude right on the backside of SHS.
