SYLACAUGA, Ala. – After much consideration, the Sylacauga Christmas Parade has been rescheduled to this Wednesday night, Dec. 13 at 6:00 due to the snow Friday and Saturday.
The Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce has been working on a revised line up schedule for the parade participants now on the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. This is due to working around school dismissal and work schedules. The route will remain the same as was set for Saturday, beginning and ending at Sylacauga High School.
The parade will start at Sylacauga High School and head south on Broadway Ave. It will then take a right turn onto W. Fort Williams and then an immediate right onto N. Norton Ave. The annual parade will go north on Norton and conclude on the back side of Sylacauga High SChool.
Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Laura Strickland said, “We are looking forward to a festive Christmas Parade as we celebrate this joyous season. We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and support as we worked to reschedule the Christmas Parade. We understand some will not be able to participate or attend due to previous commitments, but we hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.”
