SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Laura Strickland, President and CEO of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, has completed the 2025-26 Fellowship for Talent Development, a national program led by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Foundation.
The six-month fellowship equips chamber professionals with tools and strategies to strengthen local talent pipelines and address workforce challenges.
Participants gain a deeper understanding of regional talent ecosystems and develop actionable plans to support economic growth.
“We are proud to recognize this exceptional group of chamber leaders for completing the Fellowship for Talent Development,” said President and CEO of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Foundation, Sheree Anne Kelly. “Through their work, they have moved beyond learning to action, developing strategies that address workforce challenges, strengthen regional talent pipelines, and drive long-term economic prosperity in their communities.”
As part of the program, Strickland created a regional action plan focused on expanding access to child care facilities in the Sylacauga area, a key workforce need.
Fellows collaborate with peers nationwide, exchange best practices, and explore innovative approaches to workforce development. The program is part of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Foundation’s broader effort to advance economic mobility and strengthen chambers’ capacity to lead talent initiatives.
